Why We Love A Romantic Private Dance Song

The end of the night on wedding day is a bittersweet moment. The long awaited celebration is over, but the rest of your life in the bliss of marriage starts now. This is why Matchmaker Band loves a private dance to wrap up the evening and give the two of you a moment to just be together. So what is a private dance? A private dance is a dance you and your new spouse dance to when the party's over. Unlike a first dance where all eyes are on you, no one, except for the wedding photographer and wedding band, is in the room. Here are some of the reasons we love a private dance:

1. It’s a great way to get your guests ready for the big sendoff. With thousands of weddings under our belt, we can say with total confidence that no one will want to leave the dance floor at the end of the night. If you have a live band performing at your wedding, it will be almost impossible to get your guests out of the room, and the chant for “one more song” seems to keep happening even after your guests have gotten two more songs already. This is the reason why we LOVE a private dance. It gives guests a reason to leave the room. We can politely tell your friends and family to go line-up, and they have more motivation to do so because the two of you need the room to yourselves for one last special moment.

2. It gives you something to do while you are waiting for your guests to get the sendoff ready. As you can imagine, organizing a sendoff with 100+ people who have been drinking and partying all night is no easy task! We want every single moment of your wedding to be special and thought-out. Sparklers don’t light themselves and guests don’t magically exit in two perfectly straight lines. Let the coordinator’s team organize everyone outside, while the two of you get a precious moment - slow dancing together for the last time that night to one of your favorite songs of all time.

3. It makes for great photos. With the entire room clear and no one watching, your wedding photographer and wedding videographer can capture magical footage of the two of you during your private dance.
