Matchmaker Band takes pride in having the absolute best vocalists in the state of Texas on our team. Every member of the band makes the band special - from the four front-line singers every night all the way to our phenomenal lighting directors and sound techs behind the scenes. But we know you and your guests will be watching our singers more than anyone else in the band. They get to share the most special moments of your night with you, connecting with you and your guests in a multitude of ways. They sing your special first dance song, they bring you up on stage, they do the “Proud Mary” dance with your bridesmaids, they start a soul train with your grandpa, they bring your brothers up to karaoke “Sweet Caroline.” The entire band makes the magic, but the majority of your memories will, without a doubt, be with our singers. So, let’s help you get to know them a little bit better.
Meet Reid. Reid has been singing with Matchmaker Band for three years. Funny story: Matchmaker Band actually performed at Reid’s wedding a decade ago. Reid got up to sing a song with the band, and everyone was blown away. Years later, when we were looking to expand the Matchmaker Band family, we reached out to Reid to see what he was up to only to learn he had just come off of the television show “The Voice.” He made it to the top 24 of Season 14 and was just settling back into Austin, TX - where he was born and raised. In the interim, Reid had many other musical career accomplishments, including opening up for The Doobie Brothers at ACL Live, opening up for Pat Green also at ACL Live, and releasing his own original EP. Reid was a star long before he started shining in Matchmaker Band, and we were so thrilled to welcome him to the team.
