Matchmaker Band’s keyboardist, Dan Redner, is an award‐winning musical director and pianist and a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is an active educator in the Austin community teaching weekly piano lessons to 50+ students of all ages and levels of experience in addition to presenting concerts and clinics to students in area school districts.
Dan in an alumnus of Grand Valley State University where he studied both classical and jazz piano. He is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions and has traveled around the world performing and directing music entertainment and productions on major cruise lines.
In 2011, Dan relocated to Austin, Texas to pursue his Masters Degree in Jazz Studies and Performance from the Butler School of Music at the University of Texas at Austin, and he graduated in May 2013. Dan’s performance credits are extensive, and when not playing with Matchmaker Band, he can be found as a soloist, leader of the Dan Redner Trio, and as a member of the Gil Del Bosque Quintet.
