Performing and teaching, Drew loves the physical and mental preparation required to perform professionally.
As a Houston native, he is influenced by drummers like: Tony Williams, Elvin Jones, Steve Jordan, and Dave Grohl. He derives his musical style from jazz, soul, and rock. He has performed and shared the stage with jazz artists such as Armin Marmelejo, Woody Witt, Sam Lipman and rock bands/singer songwriters such as: Quiet Company, Nelo, Kinky Machine, Dan Dyer and many more.
Drew started taking drum lessons at age ten, and performed in his junior high school and high school bands. He also studied jazz performance at the University of Texas. He loves bringing joy to his audience and being fueled by their energy.
